I have to create an interactive prototype with ‘Figma’ right now.
Figma is typically used for designing and creating prototypes for software applications.
(It’s such a shame that you can’t host it yourself. An open-source alternative is Penpot (penpot.app), which can be run in Docker, but it’s not as fancy as figma.)
Now I have to watch a lot of tutorials on just how to use this tool. …It’s a real pain. 😫
I feel like coding is somehow easier than figuring out Figma or at least more fun. I’d rather read coding documentations than watch various tutorials on how to prototype. If you know a few frameworks, you can quickly set up, for example, a web application, that looks good.
Of course it’s important that all interactions are well-planned. This saves time and effort. For more complex applications elaborate prototyping definitely makes sense. But right now, it’s exhausting to spend so much time on that.
